RUBY ‘BIDDY’ ROSE WILLIAMS nee WALSH (1918 – 2016)
Born in St Catherine, Jamaica, the talented dressmaker and upholsterer married George Williams before leaving to join family in Leeds in 1962. Ruby qualified as nurse and worked on the wards and research labs at High Royd’s Hospital. The avid reader, known to most as ‘Biddy’, is remembered as a bubbly, larger than life character.
