ROY BARRINGTON MCDONALD (1933 – 2000) AND RHETA DOLORES MCDONALD nee DALEY (1937 – 2014)
When Roy and Rheta met in Spanish Town Jamaica, Roy promised Rheta’s grandmother that he would always look after her and so began a lifelong love. Roy arrived in Leeds in 1960 working at Yorkshire Imperial Metals until retirement. Rheta was a smiling presence at BHS department store for many years. They raised 3 children and when their son tragically died it was their close bond and Roy’s promise that saw them through.
