LUCILDA WYNTER nee LEWIS (1923 – 1999)
Born in Allman Hill, Jamaica, Lucilda joined her husband Trevor in London in 1959. In 1964, with their six children they moved to Leeds where their Cowper Street home was a hub for community activities. Lucilda worked as a neo natal nurse and was a founding member of Studley Grange Nursery School and youth provision for the children of Chapeltown she was so passionate about.
