What better way to round off the Jamaica Society Leeds Out of Many Festival than a party celebration taking us across decades and generations of musical genres rooted in, or shaped by, Jamaican music.

It’s A Wrap Reggae Party, which takes place on Saturday, May 27, at New Dock Hall, Leeds, brings together an array of international artists, icons of Black British culture and local heroes, who will have you rocking the night away.

This stellar line-up bringing party vibes from the Caribbean and beyond features:

Susan Cadogan – the Trojan Records queen and reggae pioneer whose classic songs include her 1974 global hit ‘Hurt So Good’.

Tippa Irie – a favourite on the festival circuit, his legendary fast-paced lyrical style with Saxon International Sound System in the early 80s inspired a generation with a soundtrack of UK hits including ‘It’s Good to Have the Feeling You’re the Best’ and ‘Hello Darling’.

Kofi – Lovers’ Rock royalty and one of the most respected artists in the British reggae scene, Kofi’s unprecedented success with Lovers’ Rock trio Brown Sugar and her 80s and 90s solo mega-hits like ‘Didn’t I’ are Black British music classics.

Kele Le Roc – transports us to the 90s when garage music took the UK charts by storm. Her ‘My Love and Things We Do For Love’ hits are rightly hailed as garage anthems.

Seani B – Grammy winner and BBC Radio 1 Xtra DJ brings the party vibes. His set will be a musical journey inspired by Jamaican music and culture over the years – from roots reggae to dancehall, and hip hop to Afrobeats.

Since The Out of Many Festival has been an ode to Jamaican culture and the city we call home, we couldn’t forget the wealth of local talent on our doorstep, so joining the line-up is Leeds rapper Graft – winner of BBC’s The Rap Game and MOBO Unsung Award recipient – and the Out of Many Choir, who will deliver a joyful medley of reggae classics.
