EULOGY – We’re recruiting

We’re looking for talent and passion to help us deliver Eulogy our National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project celebrating the lives, journeys and heritage of first generation Jamaicans in Leeds. There are two exciting part-time freelance opportunities to get involved in this inspirational project;
Eulogy Heritage Events Coordinator
An experienced and seriously organised events management professional who will work closely with our Eulogy Programme Director to deliver a range of events including community engagement events and heritage led workshops, an exhibition launch and a project wrap event during the project which ends in January 2020.
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication, relationship building and project management skills, great attention to detail, and a track record of producing accessible events for a range of audiences in both community and public settings. Experience of working with Jamaican and/or other African Caribbean communities and events would be an advantage.

Eulogy Video Designer
We’re looking for a creative film maker or video designer with an exceptionally creative eye and great editing skills who is accustomed to creating captivating, informative film for a range of digital platforms.
Using content gathered by our volunteers or from our partners – including archival footage, oral history interviews and still photography – you will produce a short film which will capture the history, culture, heritage and experience of first generation Jamaicans, before and since settling in Leeds.
The film will feature across the project’s digital platforms and will form part of the Eulogy Exhibition at Leeds Central Library in Room 700 launching on August 1st and running until September 1st.
Experience of working with Jamaican and/or other African Caribbean communities and older audiences would be an advantage.
