Budding creative writers wanted for exciting Pass It On workshops

We’re looking for five participants to take part in Pass It On, part of Out of Many Lit, the literature strand of our Out of Many Festival celebrating 60 years of Jamaican Independence.
Over four Pass It On workshops, powerhouse mother and daughter poets Khadijah Ibrahiim and Rheima Robinson will support participants to develop creative writing responses to conversations with first- and second-generation West Indians sharing their life experiences.
The participants will then take to the stage at the Out of Many Lit Pass It On event to share their poetry, prose, micro stories and more.

Is Pass It On for you?
Participants should be aged 18-40 and keen to explore this aspect of your own African and/or Caribbean heritage. No formal creative writing experience is needed, just an interest in hearing and sharing stories, poetry, writing and heritage.
You should also be available to attend and take part in the following;
Conversation and workshops sessions – all 6-8pm at Jamaica House, 277 Chapeltown Road, Leeds LS7 3HA on Tuesday 20th September, Friday 23rd September, Tuesday 27th September and Monday 3rd Oct.
Pass It On sharing event – Wednesday 5th October 6:30pm – 8:00pm in the Sanderson Room at Leeds Central Library.
As well as Pass It On being a great opportunity to be a part of a major literature festival, participants will also receive a contributory payment of £40 per session totalling a maximum of £200.
