GIRVAN ‘GIBBS’ IVANHOE FISHLEY (1934 – 2007)
One of ten children, in 1957 the young tailor from Watermount, Jamaica arrived in Birmingham before settling in Leeds and marrying his childhood sweetheart, Enid. The industrious ‘Gibbs’ worked at Yorkshire Imperial Metals before setting up his own haulage firm and later becoming a taxi driver.
