DELORES ‘VI’ FRANCIS nee EBANKS (1923 – 1998)
Vi ran a small bar in Ballard’s Valley, Jamaica and in 1954, fueled by ambition, she settled in Leeds where she is thought to have become the city’s first black female bus conductor.
